(Jax, Josh's cat) |
One of my pastor friends saw I was leading our church in a week of reading The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5, 6, and 7.
He wrote me and said:
"Dangerous. Counter-cultural. Got me in trouble when I preached through it. I would do it again. May the radical words of Jesus read you even more as you read them."
Dangerous? Yes.
A pastor could get "voted out" (what a silly thing) of his church.
Counter-cultural? Correct.
Can get you in trouble? It did for Jesus, right?
