A praying person must abandon themselves
to the will of God. If this is not true then "prayer" is a monologue
led by myself, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing transcendent.
Real praying seeks God, not self. "Self" is what I want to be rid of; God is whom I must be found in.
The beauty of this is that once I set my own plans and ego aside and release myself into the being of God I get found by God. Here is where my true self emerges. I find myself and who I was always meant to be.
