Last Sunday morning I invited people in our Redeemer family to join me in something I'm calling Deeper Bible Study (DBS). As of this post 79 Redeemer people have signed up.
Purpose: to cultivate greater biblical literacy.
- Anyone in our church family can follow me through the week as I prepare to preach on Sunday. Right now we're in the book of Hebrews. This coming Sunday I'm preaching out of Hebrews 6:1-8 (can a Jesus-follower commit apostasy and lose their salvation?).
- I send the DBS Group information about how I am going about studying the text (links, ideas, all about going deep into the biblical text). For example, this morning I sent an email linking to something Ben Witherington has written on this passage that is very helpful.
