David Brooks has a nice piece in the nytimes - "Beyond the Brain."

While neuroscientific reearch and discovery is immensely valuable, there's a "zeal without knowledge" neuromania happening, where the uncritical belief The brain explains everything is being sung in worship.

Brooks's essay is readable, and points us in a good direction.
