- Plantinga's Free Will Defense as a refutation of Mackie's logical argument.
- Rowe's evidential argument from evil against the existence of God.
- Wykstra's "no-seeum" criticism of Rowe.
- Hick's soul-making theodicy as a response to the problem of evil.
