Pauline Christology in 1 Corinthians

This coming Sunday I'm beginning a preaching series on the Christology of Paul in 1 Corinthians. It's part of our preaching vision at Redeemer which now is: becoming a Jesus-literate people.

It looks like we'll take somewhere between 20-30 weeks to do this.

This is coming on top of 5 years of preaching through the 4 Gospels, and 6 months of Christology on the Book of Acts.

Commentaries/resources I am using for 1 Corinthians include:

Gordon Fee
- The First Epistle to the Corinthians (Arguably the greatest of all 1 Cor. commentaries. It reads scholarly and devotionally.)
- Pauline Christology
- God's Empowering Presence

N.T. Wright
- Paul for Everyone: 1 Corinthians
- Paul: In Fresh Perspective

Craig Keener
-The IVP Bible Background Commentary: New Testament

On Google Books
- Craig Blomberg
- Anthony Thiselton
- Thiselton (again - Thiselton's work in philosophical hermeneutics has greatly influenced me, esp. his The Two Horizons: New Testament Hermeneutics and Philosophical Description.)
- Ben Witherington
- Craig Keener

(Matt Collins - any suggestions?)
