I've invited Redeemer people to study 1 Corinthians with me as Josh and I preach through 20-30 weeks on this letter.
I'll be using 1 Corinthians in my individual prayer times. I will:
- Read the text - 1 Cor. 1:18-25
- Meditate on the text ([ponder the text, chew on it, get it into me)
- When God speaks to me through the text I'll write it down in my spiritual journal (a spiritual journal is a record of the voice of God to you)
- I'll also be reading through 1 Corinthians multiple times, getting it into me
