I went for a walk this morning. Picked up a cup of Starbuck's and strolled the very steamy early morning downtown streets of Bangkok. This woman is a leper and was praying face down on the sidewalk. As I approached her she looked up at me. I continued walking, then turned back and gave her some money. She stretched out her fingerless hands. The moment after I did this this I looked up and there was a prostitute holding out her hand to me.
