Moviemaker Michael Moore has given us another proof for the existence of God. Moore said:
“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven. To have it planned at the same time – that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the Mississippi River.”
Moore's argument can be stated as follows:
1. The Republican Convention is being held this week at the "top" of the Mississippi River.
2. At the same time Hurricane Gustav is going to blast New Orleans at the "bottom" of the Mississippi River.
3. The timing of these two events is not a coincidence.
4. Therefore there must be a God who is sending this human catastrophe to divert attention from the Republican Convention.
